Thank you to everyone who joined us to celebrate another year of environmental action and community building at the Conservation Council of New Brunswick.
Our Annual General Meeting took place the evening of Saturday, Nov. 26 and marked the return of our first in-person AGM in three years!
Our team met with our board, members and those interesting in joining or learning more at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre in Fredericton (and online over Zoom).
Attendees heard from program staff about our work over the past year to better protect New Brunswick’s land, air and water and advance practical, evidence-based solutions to the environmental problems facing our communities.
The business meeting saw the election of new board members and the passing of two resolutions. Thank you to the board members who moved on after years of dedicated service, and welcome to the new board members taking up the mantle! See our full board here (updated bios coming soon).
The first resolution involved the Conservation Council opposing the use of seal crackers by the aquaculture industry in the Bay of Fundy. You can read it here.
The second resolution involved the Conservation Council reaffirming its opposition to nuclear power. You can read it here.
Thank you again to those who joined us and all New Brunswickers who’s support makes our work possible!
