The Conservation Council of New Brunswick has submitted detailed technical comments on the federal government’s coal phase out regulation.
Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Catherine McKenna, announced the proposed amendments as part of Canada’s climate action plan, in February this year. Phasing out coal-fired electricity by 2030 would help cut carbon pollution by 16 million tonnes.
