Why: The federal government announced its emissions cap draft regulations on Monday, shortly before it was reported that New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt is considering a regional cap-and-trade system that would align with federal standards and remove the carbon tax from gasoline purchases in New Brunswick. Dr. Qureshi can comment on what a well-structured cap-and-trade system could look like for New Brunswick and how it could impact residents as well as the emissions cap draft regulations.
