A one of a kind handmade mixed media piece that captures a small piece of the forest floor. Created using needle felting techniques and mounted on locally collected river stone and finished with moss. Each needle felted piece takes 4-6 hours to complete depending on the size.
The Scaly Chanterelle forms symbiotic relationships with various types of conifer species; thus, it is most commonly found growing in coniferous forests and mixed-wood forests.
